The legend of Break-UP Bhavani

Vinay Kanchan

About this book

Gargi-the feisty editor of the college magazine-finds strange things happening, ever since her friend Rambha showed faith in an age-old myth to get over a breakup. That called back a mysterious superheroine-an ultra-cool, quick witted, avenging angel.
But, who is she???
Then, there's the ensemble cast. Where every character harkens back to a weight lent to their name by mythology - Agastya, Urvashi, Tathagat and Appuswamy.
Add to that, Bina Biswas-the diligent librarian and Brahmani-Gargi's mentor. Plus, a devious and powerful evil character lurking in the shadows.
Amidst the fun-filled, innocent, normal life of a regular college, a series of epic proportions begins to unfold.

Shadow Town

Sreemati Sen

About this book

Dr. Deesha arrives in a remote tribal village where legends abound, superstitions rule, and local deities flourish. Questions arise in her mind. Is Bensho a spirit or just a prank by a villager? Why is everyone steering clear of the beautiful pond? Who is lighting up the dark, marshy land every evening? Aren't curses a belief of fools? Deesha dismisses them all. Soon, a crisis erupts, and she comes face-to-face with a long-dormant legend. Forced to confront reality, Deesha realises that the line between science and the supernatural is thinner than she imagines.
