Shree Vishnu Mahaa Puraan ranks third among eighteen pivotal Puraans and dates back to the seventh manvantar. Vishnu is portrayed as the supreme power who creates, sustains and destroys the universe. The book demystifies spirituality and moaksh. Woven in are anecdotes, phenomena and thoughts ahead of its times - 'The prominence of water will be a means to assess Earth's condition and cost', 'The knowledge that a person possesses is an important god for that person, such knowledge is worship worthy and is a protectress'. This Puraan is not about the 1000 names of Vishnu and is distinct from a televised serial.

Characters ranging from crazy barber to the butcher who cut in his sleep, the themes here are a mirror on society with a note of mockery. Rooted in absurdism and magical realism, the stories here are ambiguous enough to make many points, leaving the interpretation to the reader.
