The Best Of Us

Rishabh Bhatnagar

About this book

Some guys have it all. A decent education. A high-paying job. A girlfriend, or two perhaps, if they are finally having their way. But what happens if those things are simply not enough?
The education does not agree. The job is more modern slavery. Most of our friends are not even friends. Some of us, we want to live, before we die. We have songs to sing, stories to tell, and jokes to crack. We don't care enough to kill, and we don't really hate, unless you ask for it. We have places to see and people to meet. We simply do not have the time.
'The Best of Us' traces the journey of a writer who somehow ended up at a law-school. It is the story of an artist learning his trade along the way. Inspired by personal experiences, it is a complicatedly funny but all too real ride through a collection of epic disasters that together make up for somebody's college life.

About The Author

Now 25, Rishabh was a bit of a problem-child as a kid. He treated his natural talent and love for story-telling as a lottery ticket. For him, writing stories was always as much a passion as a destiny-ridden compulsion, the one thing he was truly good at and enjoyed doing, at the same time. A bright student, he studied at one of the best law schools of the country before deciding to devote himself fully to the art of writing stories.
"The Best of Us" is the third book that he has written, a story that he describes as one about the real youth of India, living in the beginning of the 21st century, as much a social commentary as it is a fictitious tale.

The Twisted Path

Naveen Yadav

About this book

India is a country of potential; however, many issues are still bothering common citizens like us and it is my belief that it is not our rights but our responsibilities which can pave a path to Positive India. Till the time we understand that both rights and responsibilities play an important role in the development of India, we will struggle with our existing problems. It is our assumed responsibilities which will create a positive India for us. In this book, we will evaluate the role of rights and responsibilities in improving the current situation of our country.
I might not be writing something new or something we don't know, but it is a path we don't go to generally. It is a twisted path as it makes us go out of our comfort zone, but it is the path which can lead us to a positive India.

Operation Khatma

Ashwini Bhatnagar

About this book

The fight for dominance between 'azadi' and 'jihadi' was in full swing in the 1990s. 'Azadi group Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) faced an intense challenge from 'jihadi Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). Both were puppets on Pakistan's string.
JKLF created an international sensation in 1996 when it occupied the revered Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar. It led to the launch of a daring offensive by the Special Operations Group of J&K Police. The book is a graphic first-hand thriller on the build-up of terrorism in Kashmir, the blood-splattered rivalry between JKLF and HM, and the short, sharp surgical strike -OPERATION KHATMA- that broke the back of terrorism in the Valley.
